The name of Jeff Meyers’ business was enough to draw me in during the recent Genoa Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival. What kept me there for a spell was his pieces and the way his hands danced across the leather as he did his work.
Jeff is a working Cowboy with an 80-acre ranch near Pyramid Lake. He specializes in lariat rope baskets with tooled leather centers, and other leather products such as custom tooling, portraits, table runners, post cards, coasters, ornaments, and commission pieces. The pieces are very Western, proudly Nevada, and anything but quiet in their beauty.
